I want to pass the variable from CGI Task to WFT. My requirement is user will enter datetime in the CGI Task and need to pass this datetime as timeout value to a dummy task in the WFT. Any help would be appriciated.TS 6.5
my $job_id = $task->GetWorkflowID();my $job = TeamSite::WFworkflow->new($job_id);my ($success, $dummy_task ) = $job->GetTaskByName("dummy_task_name");if($success){ #set dummy task timeout. $dummy_task->SetTimeout($timeout);}
Just set a workflow variable within a CGITASK and retrieve the variable value within your dummytask.Use SetVariable method to set the value of the variable and then insert the value in timeout element of your dummytask.__INSERT__($launchTime);
Kaalraa,Your advise is basically sound: Set variable in one task and retrieve in another. __INSERT__ however won't work. It belongs to WF template and therefore is executed once upon WF Instantiation, well before CGI Task is run and value obtained
