Hi,
in TS5.5 environment we use a little IPL-CGI which is integrated as callout in a template textarea:

     <callout type="cgi" label="Extras" url="...your_visual_format_callout.ipl..." />

Regards
Stefan

how about RTFM?

change "t" to "f"

I agree with you 100% as far as "RTFM", but external-editor-inline="t" was not always in option -- in particular in older versions (pre-5.5, I believe?). Surprisingly, people are STILL using 5.0.x. I got a request yesterday to help out on a project that is using v 5.0.1. Yikes.

Sounds like you have a nice opportunity to help them move to 6.5

Greg and I teamed up on a 4.5 to 6.5 upgrade. That was a lot of fun.

I was offered recently to do a 5.0 to 6.5 upgrade (different than the company I was referring to before, which is actually running 5.5.x -- I looked back at the email). I hadn't done a TS upgrade that broad before and I didn't want the possible headaches. Besides, that engagement was shorter-term, as you can imagine.

Is it not as bad as I'm imagining, though? Or, did you intend to mark up your sentence with the following:

Greg and I teamed up on a 4.5 to 6.5 upgrade. <sarcasm>That was a lot of fun.</sarcasm>?

Depnds on who's perspective.

I did the design, Greg got to implement.

It was easy (for me).

Of course I have to look for my shoulders for some crazy Russian/Aussie carrying a baseball
bat & looking to do bodily harm. Those are the breaks.

Upgrade was not really that bad. We pitched the old iw-store & grabbed the Staging area. There were no
workflows before so they had to be written. Templates were not that bad. OpenDeploy was a serious
pain (due to customer self inflicted changes).

in ts 6.5 you can also do this.

Summary

Andy, you apparently did not have all that fun. Once we meet (I mean myself, my baseball bat and you

), I will tell you a lots of other horrors I had to endure... And that poor **** after me.. at least he could speak Portugese...
