Composer 6.6 complain about Process Engine not available

Hi,

I tried to import a docApp into composer 6.6 which failed. In the log I have the error:

[ERROR] Process Engine not available in docbase

What does this mean, I use no BPM workflows, only standard ones.

Do I need to install something more ?

Using the workaround from EMC messed up my workflow design at some point making it impossible to be opened from the workflow manager.

But finally there is a valid fix which is the Composer 6.7 SP1, it now is able to cope with non BPM workflows and is backward compatible to Documentum 6.6.

I also opened a ticket at the support, still no anwer to my question.

I now updated a workflow and wanted to remove it from the composer project to import it again and I get the following error again:

Failed to import Artifact(s)
Failed to import the object 'ProjectWkfl'(dm_process 4b0081ba80001c17)
Process Engine not available in docbase

I'm stuck now.

Anyone facing the same that have a solution to this ?

Hi,

No it is not installed, since we did not license BPM, I use the standard Documentum workflows, which comes OOTB with the Content Server.

Dear all,

I was waiting for a fix, but EMC decided not to do it for this version.

So we have installed process engine, and everything is ok.

I know that it is not the good way, as we don't need Process Engine, but this solved our problem.

Finally I got a workaround from EMC which consists on a DAR file and a cleanup (undo dar installed objects) docbasic script.

I tested it successfully.

Is I don't know if I have the rights to post those files here, I give you my service request number so you can ask the support to provide you the same files.
