We have an infrastructure currently consisting of Webtop 6.5 SP 2 with Content Server 5.3 SP5. We are in the process of upgrading our content servers to 6.5 SP2.
On my workstation I have the full Developer Edition 6.5 SP2 installed.
I needed to install DAB 5.3 SP5 so I can work with some of the customizations in our 5.3 content servers.
It installed ok except it detected that 6.5 versions of Workflow Services and DFC Runtime Environment were already installed so it did not install the 5.3.0.62 versions from the DAB 5.3 installer.
Now when I try to run DAB, I get an "C++ runtime error ... the application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way ....".
I have searched for any answer to this and found that others have experienced the way issue when having mixed installs on their workstation but I have not found a clear answer to it.
Workflow manager will not start either. It throws a fatal java error.
Application installer also throws a fatal error.
Hopefully someone here can offer a solution. Is there some way to make DAB 5.3 work properly?
I have JRE 1.6.x installed on a Windows XP SP 3 PC.
