Doc App not attaching lifecycle

Sorry if this is a stupid question as i am new to application builder.

I have created a new object type and added it to an existing lifecycle. I checked in the lifecycle as the same version and installed it. When I create a document of that object type, the lifecycle is not attaching. No error happens, just no lifecycle attached. The lifecycle attaches for the other 2 acceptable types for that lifecycle but not for my new object type.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you.

Check Life cycle object, such that your custom object type is acceptable by life cycle or not??

Use the below DQL and check the result. Your custom type must me present in included_type or it must be a subtype of type already present and include_subtypes must be true(1) corresponding to the type present.

selectincluded_type,include_subtypes,allow_attach from dm_policy where object_name='lifecycle_name';

If this seems ok, than check if that the lifecycle has allow_attach is true for the state you are attaching.

select state_name,allow_attach from dm_policy where object_name='lifecycle_name';
