diff b/w the table and type in documentum.

Hello Team,

what is the diff b/w table and type in documentum.

i've used the describe api command like below.

describe,c,type,dm_user - Its working fine.

describe,c,table,dm_user - its not working fine.

But dm_user is a table only. then why its not working as table.

Kindly help me out from this doubt.

Hello, there is no table dm_user in RDBMS. There is  dm_user type in documentum repository it's represented in DB with 2 tables: dm_user_s and dm_user_r.

So the correct way is describe,c,type,dm_user.

The "table" is used to dump info about registered tables.
