We have TeamSite 6.1 SP1 running on Unix. What do you recommend to search content within the site? Using Perl or other? Please advice.

curious, What is stopping you from upgrading to TS 6.5 SP1?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "within the site". Do you mean on your production site, or inside of TeamSIte?

If you mean inside of TeamSite, I think going to 6.5 is the best option for you.

if it's on your production site why wouldn't you just get a search engine already made instead of homebrew unless money is a factor. there are some decent search engines available already and you probably can justify buying one when you consider how much effort would go into creating your own. (dependent on the type of searches you want to do, obviously)
