odd question mark...

I have one user who when they edit inside a visual format field a question mark appears when they click inside of a blank one, or if it's one that already had content it appears at the end..

Any ideas, it does not do it with any other ones... only that user..

Does this happen on a different computer(different browser setting) for the same user? Does this happen if another user accesses VFE from this particular user's machine?
What's the user's platform and which browser?

Sorry should have been clearer... 1 machine really... only one profile on the machine so we can't create a new one to test. The same thing happens no matter who we log onto this machine as.
