Adding files to a task
Sachin_Gajanan
Hello Friends,
I am new to workflows, i am trying to add some files to a task, such as a user task, i have seen in the docs that the parameter iw_file indicates the number of files associated with a task. But how to associate some files to a task. For example i would like to attach a DCR and Presentation template to a user task, ie i am starting my workflow on command "Assign" where a author is selected from roles list and i want to add DCR and presentation template to his task, how can i attach these, what particular statements have to be used in the wft file to achieve this.
Please suggest me a solution.
Thanks
Sachin.

It sounds like you should take a workflow developer's course (the advanced one unless you want to learn about WFB which is a waste of time for the most part).
You should certainly spend some time with the manual and probably the
Workflow Tutorial Supplement
You also need to be a bit more explicit in your posts to inform us of which version of the product (including SP and/or patches) you are using on what platform(s) as that sometimes has an affect upon the "right" answer.
The response that jkm gave is certainly a valid one, but only if you're trying to augment the workflow from the command line or from an externaltask or cgitask written in some language other than Perl. You're asking about associating these files within the wft - which is a different thing and would need to be programmatically determinable or explicitly selected, in order to do that - yet you provide very little context about the scenario in which this workflow is used (other than Assign) and what file(s) are pre-selected and what logic you would be using based on that to determine which DCR and PT (why do you want the PT added to the workflow?) you would want to have added to the workflow - and whether the usertask is the start-task or not.
Essentially you're missing a lot of detail that we would need to properly answer you - and if you had those details and spent some time with the manuals and/or training - you might be able to answer the question yourself.
