Conditional Workflow

I need help in workflow creation.
User submits the form. One of the field in the form should be a drop down having list of approvers. On submit, the form should go to the selected person.
Is there a way if I create a workgroup in the community and use it for the drop down and dynamically configure the workflow.

Sure, there's a number of things you can do. Two options jump out at me right now...

1. I'll assume this form is part of another entity (menu item, etc.), so this form creates an XML spec for the workflow definition based on the information collected.

2. This form is already part of the workflow in question as a cgitask and when the user submits the form, you simply change the owner of the subsequent approval task.
