Webtop Search Integration with Autonomy

Hi,

I am currently working on integration of Webtop search with Autonomy search engine. In Autonomy infrastructure end, have Documentum Fetch to import the content from Content Server, and IDOL server will have the indexed content.

Here, i am struggling on implementing the webtop search component to query the IDOL search and fetching it. Is there any search component documentum provided for Autonomy .? If anybody has done the autonomy - webtop integration, could you please share ideas on the webtop search component customization end.?

Webtop is the wrong place to be intergrating a 3rd party search engine.

From 6.0 3rd party search software can work with Documentum..... been on a project where they hooked up Apache Lucrene.... Do not know the details but 99% sure it is handled on the Content Server.... You should not have to customise Webtop

So is that correct statement to mention that in Webtop 5.3 SP6 can't integerate with External (3rd party) Search Engine like Autonomy IDOL.? Because i saw some document for Autonomy integration using ECIS, but i am not sure on the steps for configuration.

My understanding is 3rd party search support was added in version 6, so no Webtop 5.3 SP6 would not work.
