Portal Using Flex

Hi All,

We are trying to design a portal in which UI is being designed in Flex.

In which, there are different tabs for different functionalities (like checkout, creating docs)

Would that be possible for us to integrate DCTM and Flex with WDK for designing the portlets?

Yes. From Flex you can access Documentum services in the following ways:

• DFS web services (there's an example on this site that uses the BlazeDS proxy for this)
• RESTful Services - still in beta I think. There are some code examples on this site.
• CMIS (ATOMPub or SOAP) - The DCTM CMIS implementation is still in beta. There are a couple of Open Source projects that provide Flex support for CMIS.
• BlazeDS/Spring - you could write a Spring Bean that invokes DFC/DFS/CMIS and exposed it to Flex as a RemoteObject via BlazeDS

If you're building a Flex interface then I'm not sure where WDK would fit in. You'd have to provide more info so I could understand where you're coming from.
