Error while running cfsconfigutions

dears,while i was running the cfsconfigurtation program to add a new CS that will use the same reposisoty for high avaliablity i keep getting the follwoign error

"cannot find source: dbpasswd.txt " i seach powerlink and found only 8 forums which i followed but with no luck. i appricate if you can give me any hint. the serveer b is not able to copy the file dbpasswd.txt from server a. i tried to manualy copy but the same i followed the hint on google to remove the domain name but also the same.

appriacte any hint please

well.. I have faced the same error when creating secondary CS ... but in my case the problem was that the filestore was readonly ... making the filestore status to online fixed the issue for me ...

What happens behind the screen ?

when u run the configuration tool to create a new CS ... the ebs script copies and renames the dbpasswd.txt, server.ini, 2 more files (dont remember) of primary CS into the docbase location (inside system cabinet) ... then it takes those files back from the docbase location to create the files (dbpasswd.txt, server.ini + 2 files) for secondary content server ...

so make sure ur docbase is available for storing files ...

Case 2 : if this does not solve ur problem ... let me know the OS of your content server .... note that you have to manually make an port entry for the secondary CS with new server name if you are using unix bases OS ....

i hope this solves your problem .. let me know the result ..

i check the filestore and it is on line and working fine. i appricate any other hint as i am still stuck.

is there a way to manuly build every thing without running the cfsconfigution.

Also i am confused with multiple reference with different context on running the CFSConfiguration. Tell me something when installing secondary content server on a remote server, I installed the base content server software. Now here is my confusion, DO I HAVE TO RUN THE INSTALLER TO CONFIGURE A DOCBROKER OR DO I HAVE TO RUN THE CFSCONFIGURATION INSTALLER.

In some cases they say run installer to configure Docbroker first and then run the CFSConfiguration......in some cases they say that the CFSConfiguration program itself will create a docbroker on the secondary content server...

so 2 questions for you..
