Tagging UI...

Hello,

Our implementation of Teamsite has been setup such that a user will only be able to call the TaggingUI from the DCT. Before going ahead with this approach, I'm curious to see if anyone has had any negative experiences with this approach.

Also, I'm interested in knowing which is the better way to approach the implementation. Should I be opening a new window with the TaggingUI or open it within the context of the current window?

FYI - TS 6.5 - SP2, Solaris 9.

I ddidn't quite understand your description.

however, IMO the best practices are as follows:

1. Tag via workflow (iwmetadata.cgi as CGI task)
2. tag via Wizard in CC STD
3. Manually tag via File-> Tag
4. Combination of the above

Hi Greg,

I was just looking for a way to call the tagging UI from within the DCT. The tagging UI would loadup in the existing window (a save is called first before the the screen is reloaded).

I ended up doing a "parent.location.href = "iw.ccpro.tag?vpath=" + IWDatacapture.getDCRPath();" call to resolve that.
