I doing some prelim work on using the OD web services and I ran into a stumbling block. Any of the methods that require a CSContext, return a

Item: NO_USER_NAME, Details: Got blank or no user name from CSContextString

message. This is, of course, after I retrieve a CSContext object from the CSF service.

I created all of my java client classes from the Axis wsdl2java app that is supplied by Apache. This appears to also be the same way the generated classes in the sample OD service client jar were made (I could be wrong!).

The CSException is as follows:

I was able to work through the error... it was a case of not sync'ing up the passphrase from CSF and OD. Now that I have that working, I have run into another problem:

In trying to start a deployment from the webservice, I'm getting a NullPointerException...
In reading the comments from the

startDeployment

method, it looks like the only required param is the

setDeploymentName

. I have tried various combinations of params and it still does not work.
