How to decrypt the DM_ENCR_TEXT in the password file?

Hi All,

We have an existing application in our development environment which fails while starting the docbase. The error i am getting is a password mismatch between the passwords in the password file and the db2 db password for the documentum user.

I need to decrypt the password now . Is there anyway i can decrypt the DM_ENCR_TEXT in the password. I have the key with me.

Thanks for the reply.

Due to the password mismatch I am not able to login into the Documentum DB itself. So i am not in a position to execute the API commands.

Is there any command to do get the details in command prompt itself ... just like the command to encrypt the password?

Change the password of the repository onwer in the database,
To re-encrypt the dbpasswd.txt file perform the following:

Open the dbpasswd.txt file from Documentum\dba\config\<docbasename>
Clear the document.
Add your password (only the password).
cd $DM_HOME/bin
Run: %> dm_encrypt_password -docbase <docbase name> -rdbms -encrypt <database password>

3. Start the repository.
