Why do I get a 404 when I clcik on a worakrea in the right pane but I am able to browse to my workarea?
localhost/iw-cc/command/iw.ccstd.view_area?vpath=//myworakrea DOESNT work

but

localhost/iw-cc/command/iw.ccstd.list_directory?vpath=//myworkarea WORKS

Are you sure it's not a browser (cache?) issue?
Do you see anything in iwtrace.log? or servletd logs?
