Dumping a folder

Hi experts,

I have one folder "myfolder" in repository "Docbase1", i need to dump that specific folder only(not all folders) and its content and i need to deploy that in another repository "Docbase2". Is it possible?? If so suggest me the way??

a) You could write some fancy DQL, to locate all items in a folder but not its sub folders and use that to generate a set of API scripts to dump the object details and content

SELECT "dump,c," AS CMD1, r_object_id FROM dm_document WHERE FOLDER('/Temp/MyStuff')

Importing... could be a bit more difficult

b) you could use the IAPI commands for dump and load

c) you could write your own DFC script to dump and load

d) You could use off the shelf software for dump and load

You can. Just specify the predicate so that only what you want gets dumped. Keep in mind that when loading, all related objects will be loaded as well, including ACLs, groups, users, etc. resulting in a lot of junk that you probably don't want.
