GetContainerMetadata

We're having a problem using the GetContainerMetadata method. When invoking the service on our Application server passing a GUID for the containerID we receive the metadata as expected (results below). However when making these request via our app we are not receiving any results back. I've attached the jsp call, the method, and our stack trace. Any ideas why our array isn't bringing back the same results as below?

It doesn't appear that your attachments made it...

FYI, Are you using the correct MediaBinServer.jar....i.e. one that contains the GetContainerMetadata stubs?

Yes, I added the latest jar file to the project and I do see the getContainerMetadata method when using the stub object. I'll attach the files again...if that doesn't work I'll post the contents instead.

The null pointer exception is probably due to the fact that you are referencing sMetadata before checking for null:

ArrayOfMBMetadata sMetaData = stub.getContainerMetadata(containerID, groupID);
MBMetadata[] metadataArray = sMetaData.getMBMetadata();

if(sMetaData==null)
{
...

As far as why you are getting a null metadata list, are you sure you are not specifying anything for the groupID parameter? The only case that should return a null metadata list is if you were to specify a groupID that doesn't exist or that you don't have permission to see....otherwise, you should get back at least a two element list containing the container's modified time and name.
