Removing and replacing buttons on TaggingUI

Is there a way to replace the buttons (Save, Save & Close, Cancel) on the Tagging UI, similar to how it is done on DCTs, in order to attach custom code? If not, is there a way to extend the code associated with the out-of-box buttons?

nope.. wait till 6.7.1 SP1.. or something like that
