content Server 6.6 Query

We are planning to upgrade from Content Server 6.5 SP1 to 6.6

I have come to know that Content Server 6.6 only supports SQL Server 2008 SP1 Enterprise Edition.

I want to know whether it will not work with SQL Server 2008 SP1 Standard Edition?

Is anyone using SQL Server 2008 SP1 Standard Edition with CS 6.6?

It might work even if it is not supported by EMC. But then it might not be a smart choice as there will be no support when something goes wrong.
