issue with DD in TS 6.5 replicant items parsing...

Hi All,
I am facing this issue with following env...

TS 6.5
OD 6.0.1
Win2k

Issue is during DD the OD process hangs for forever at this line in log..

Probably a memory issue. Looking at the replicant sizes you have 0-59, 0-29, 0-19... that's a lot of combinations that have to be calculated when DD builds the row map tree. So it would make sense that it will take a while.

Did you try creating a row map file first, by running iwsyncdb -rowmapgen ... (see the OD or DD DTD reference for the exact syntax). You would refer to this external file from within your deployment config. From the manual:

DataDeploy builds and traverses data tree structures to compute the number of
rows it needs to process for tables that map nested elements in DCRs. To speed the
process, DataDeploy can be configured to “serialize” (cache in a file) the Java objects
produced by such tree traversing, and to read in those objects during actual
deployments. When this feature is enabled, DataDeploy builds the serialized Java
objects in row maps (contained in a row map cache file) for those group elements in
a dbschema definition that contain replicants from various nested levels which are
mapped to table columns.

The word rowmapgen does not even appear in the DD 6.0.2 manual. Where is this documented?

It should have been doc'd better. It's on the bug list for OD 6.1. For now, you have to rely on the CLT help and row-map-cache-file description in the OpenDeploy reference manual. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am running into this same issue in TS 6.7.1 and OD 6.2 I even tried the rowmapgen as documented in the manual but the group with replicant inside a replicant is totally ignored. Has there been a resolution on this?
