Iam new to documentum and DFS. We have a requirement in our project to connect to the documentum server and copy files in documentum server to the local system.We found out DFS is the suitable api for us , as java client and documentum server will not be in the same location.
As DFS involves webservices , we are worried about the performance.
Will it be slow for transferring the huge files ?.
Is DFS scalable if we have to transfer large number of huge files?
For making sure whole file is transferred , we need to caluculate checksum of the file .Using DFS api's can we caluculate the checksum of the file?
Also provide some pointers for startup of DFS
Any information on this helps us a lot.
