file-specific workflows?

Hi,
Is there a way to invoke a specific workflow for certain files? My client has asked that for 3 specific files, a specific workflow is to be invoked, regardless of who submits the files. Can this be achieved in available_templates.cfg or do I need to look elsewhere?
Even if I have to tell the client to put the files in a certain directory for this to work, that would be OK.

For a certain directory - you might be able to use the branch_list / branch path settings in available_templates.cfg -- despite the naming, the path tested against those settings tends [**] to be the full vpath.

"might" - because this would only work if you navigated into that directory prior to issuing the submit command
[**] "tends" - because this has been an on-again/off-again/semi-supported functionality which in the past has worked for certain job invokations (e.g. new_job) and not for others (e.g. tt_data) - so your mileage may vary.

A better, more robust, solution would be to have both a generic and specialized submit workflow developed - and have the generic workflow check for the special files (or directory) and, if found, remove them from the current job, and initiate a specialized submit workflow with them - if there are no files left in the generic job after doing this - end gracefully.

(there's a fair amount of complexity in the implementation of the above - so plan it out thoroughly first - then you'll know what you're doing and it will be much easier to do)
