emails not checking in

Hi folks,

When i open an e-mail via the iManExt.OpenCmd and then close it down it still remains in a checked-out status. If i perform this through Desksite then it works fine.

This only happens with e-mails - documents are fine

Anyone come across this before?

I'm running Desksite 8 SP1

When closed a checked out email file while DeskSite is running, DeskSite will detect the file has been closed and then call the IManExt.CheckinCmd command to check it back in. If you don't want the e-mail to be checked out when calling the OpenCmd, you could either use iManExt.OpenROCmd, which will always open the selected file as a read-only file, or add the document type for email in the following registry key separated by comma:

[HKLM\Software\Interwoven\WorkSite\8.0\Common\Options\]
"OpenAsReadOnlyTypes"="HTM,HTML,HTX,ASP" //default value is HTM, HTML, HTX and ASP.
