Query in datagrid

Hi Experts ,

Can anyone suggest me on the following requirement ,i have a datagrid ,i have created 2 buttons(prmote and demote) inside the datagrid,Now my requirement is to open a new window on the click of the first button(promote),the second button (demote)should get disabled.

Please suggest me with some code related examples.I need to write some method defining this functionality using my java behaviour class but i am not able to get the result.Please suggest,i appreciate for your valuable suggestions in this regard.

datagrid--->Button(Promote/Demote)-->onclick of promote a display message should be shown and demote should be disabled.

Is there some concept of modalnode to be used ??It will be helpful if anyone can provide me some sample code on this so that i can try implemeting in my case.

Hi,

When doing some functionality on clicking of promote button get the demote button control and make that disabled like this...

Button demote=(Button)getControl("demote",Button.class); demote.setEnabled(false);

Hi,

WDK Datagrid is read-only control and to modify the Datagrid you have to populate it again with the updated values.

I am guessing that you have buttons for each record and you want to disable button respective to your datagrid record.

Following steps may help you.

Populate your Datagrid with ResultSet. ResultSet should contain value based on Buttons should be enabled or disabled.
While populating Datagrid, provide index for each record.
On click of button, in JSP call javascript method, Display pop massage, capture the index of record call the Behaviour class method with post server event method and pass the index value as argument.
Change the ResultSet value depending on the index value.
Re-populate the datagrid with updated ResultSet.
