encoding on tagging ui label

My datacapture.cfg for the templating UI is encoded for UTF-8 as follows:



When posting an accented character as an extended attribute, the accent is maintained, as expected.

However, when adding a label using an accented charater, I get a "box" displaying in it's place. Is this a local browser setting, or improper representation of the accented character in the label?
