Urgent query in datagrid

Hi all,

I have a custom registered table with a few entries as stated below:-

Batch id BatchName

111 B1

222 B2

333 B3

Now if i want to swap the value of the 1st row with the second one ,how can i achieve this?Please suggest.It will be helpful if someone can provide me some sample codes in this regard.I have got two buttons C1 and C2 in my datagrid ..On click of the button C1 ,the above functionality is supposed to occur and the button C2 is supposed to get disabled.

Please suggest.

Swap rows means what type of result u expect...

Hi,

Swapping of the rows i mean suppose we have two rows in our database table displayed in the datagrid:-

Batch id Batch name

111 B1

222 B2

Now he datagrid has a button named as promote on click of this button the datagrid should appear in the following manner:-

Batch id Batch name

222 B2

111 B1

I hope the scenerio is clear.If you have any sample code for achieving this please send it across it will be helpful

now in my case the database table(tablename) has the values updated for the 1st and 2nd row in the
following way:-

Before updation
Batchid Batchname

111 B1
222 B2

After updation
Batchid Batchname

This one neds to be displayed in the datagrid.

Please let me know the modification required to my code to achieve this

Hi,

I dont think it is possible because every time the page gets loaded it fires a query on the registered table and populate the datagrid.

Hi Vyshu,

What i meant to say is suppose from the database table we have to fetch the row id of the table.From the datagrid we have to fecth the datagrid id and update its entries in the datagrid table upon click of the promote button.

Do you have any information for such a req?if so please send some sample codes.
