I am trying to automatically save the output file when the user saves a DCR (TS 6.5). There is mention of the ability to do this in the 6.5 Form API users manual, but Ive yet to get it to work. Anyone tried something like this:

IWEventRegistry.addFormHandler("onSaveValid", setOutFileName);

function setOutFileName() {
outFilePath = outPath.getValue(); //outPath would contain the full path to the file to be created
IWPageGeneration.setOutputFile(outFilePath);
}

The above does not seem to work, yet thats how it is documented.

I figured it out. If you try to do it on the onSaveValid event, its too late (duh). The function should be called before the DCT is saved. In my case, it is called after the user selects a value from a dropdown menu of possible breadcrumbs.
