DAS, iwsyncdb -initial fails

Konidala

Hi,

When I try to initialize the workarea for DAS it fails & getting the error message 'Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'title', table 'ep_Intranet.intranet.DEFAULT_INTRANET_HOME_EP_DAILY_TIPS__DAILY_TIPS__MAIN_INTRANET_DEVELOPMENT_STAGING'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.' . Attached are my configuration files. Any help would be appriciated.

Hi,
only a shjot in the dark:

All fields are filled in your DCR:
... daily-tips/0/description/0=

Tips Desc

...
But the values that should fill the db columns are read as null:

...
DAS:Column: title, field: title, Index: 3,null
DAS:Column: description, field: description, Index: 4,null
DAS:ERROR:Invalid URL
DAS:Column: url, field: url, Index: 5,Converting '' to VARCHAR
DAS:ERROR:Invalid URL
DAS:Column: archive_url, field: archive_url, Index: 6,Converting '' to VARCHAR
...

I assume, that the matching between the DCR and the database column is not correct
=> check your dd.cfg file
Perhaps the "value-from-field" value is not correct.

Thanks stefan. I rechecked my _dd.cfg & DCR. The values are mapped correctly. Still trying to traceout what's wrong with the configuration

Shouldn't it be something like value-from-field="daily-tips/0/description/0" in your _dd.cfg?

The problem is solved. After changing dcr-type to 'iwov' in templating.cfg it's working. If I set it to 'xml' it's not working.

<data-type name="ABC" dcr-type="iwov">

</data-type>
