Can not run TeamSite 6.1.0 on Win 2k Sp4

Hi,

I am trying to run TS 6.1.0 setup on win 2k Sp4. The setup even does not initiate.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

There is no error message. The DOS prompt remains on the front. But no progress. The window account is an Admin account.

which program causes the hanging DOS box?
Is it the downloaded IWOVts-win.6.1.0.Build####.exe file?
This executable extracts some more files into a subdirectory...
Or do you get the hanging DOS box if you start install.bat, which is part of the extracted installation stuff?
Do you have enough free disk space ?

This is a bit of a guess since there's not much detail on the issue but I have had the same kind of situation previously when trying to run the private.exe that is called by the install.bat.

Make sure that driver signing is set to Ignore in Windows (right-click My Computer -> Hardware -> Driver Signing...

Then try to run the setup kit again

Try this trick. It'll work.

Terminal service (or Remote Desktop) into your server and then try the install. You'll see the install screen correctly.

That didn't wrok for me...
In my case I have an issues with CSF 1.1.1.0 which comes with the OD Admin install. After installing od Admin 6.0.2 and rebooting, I do believe the CSF (private.exe) gets called which throws and error
I am pretty sure this has to do with win2k3 sp1

If I could just download CSF 1.1.1.0 and install sepertaly I think I could get around this issue. I am opening a tech support case....spent 2 hours on this issue and enough is enough.
