Metadata Relationship Selection

Related to metadata relationship. Two document metadata properties X, Y.

X – A, B, C

Y – A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2

Relationship:

A – A1, A2

B – B1, B2

C – C1, C2

If X, Y are multi-value properties and we have to select A1, C2, do we need to first select A and C for X? If yes, then when uses select values for properties Y, how can they know that A1, A2 is related to A and C1, C2 is related to C? Is it only identified by the naming? Any coloring layout can help?

Yes, it is very complicated. And for the same reason, WorkSite MP does not allow multi-valued fields to participate in parent-child relationships. The Web Configuration Tools prevents you from selecting multi-valued fields for a parent-child relation.
