I am working with Records manager requirements and i am new to RM..Through Records manager PDF i learned that Formal records can be declared manually,
My question is whether is it possible to declare records programatically...
Formal records requires assigning values to record fields (either Chp 2 or Chp 4). Where do you plan to get these values from if you plan to do this programmatically? Informal records do NOT require assign values to these fields. Therefore, you can apply retention policy on a folder and have users (or programmatically) move/link documents to the these folders and the retention policy will automatically be applied.
