Not able to login to Repository with Repoint Client

I have configured new Content server 6.5 sp2 and new two new repo, I am not able to login to any repo. through Repoint client.

" Authentication failed for the Docbase <name>, please try again later " even for superuser account also.

However, I am able to login successfully with DA and Webtop.

Please help.

I have experienced this problem before too. It is usually caused by the dfc.properties file used by RepoInt not being properly configured or read. If it gets too frustrating just remove RepoInt and reinstall it. That always works for me.

this is not the problem of dfc.properties file, I am getting the authentication error ,

Now I am not able to DA also, however when I deployed in the DA again on the same machine having the CS.

I am able to login, EMC forum says, this happen if you change the IP address of the machine hosting CS.

but I have not change the IP adress of CS, not sure what is happening.

There was a bug in 6.0 that goofed up authentication if you switched networks, but this shouldn’t be an issue if you are on 6.5. The bug and patch are # 147071, but I haven’t had to use it on 6.5.

Have you tried just reinstalling repoint? The old version of repoint would cache the dfc.properties file and any time I wanted to switch servers, it would only work some of the time. Now, I just keep the download, and whenever something in the environment changes, I delete repoint and reinstall it.
