iw-store migration

hi all,

i want to migrate my iw-store from one server to another. while doing so will all my existing jobs and tasks also get migrated to the new server?

Jobs transfer over. In the unix world, backing store xfers are pretty simple. Assuming users and groups are the same on both boxes, tt is a glorified copy. If you are running windows, you might have to run some minor conversion steps to handle the sids.

migrating from 6.0 to 6.5....

You mean 6.1? Migrating a backing store from 6.1 to 6.5 should be fine. However, if you ever had to downgrade back to 6.1, that may not work:. You can do this:
6.1 ==> 6.5

But this may cause errors:
6.5 ==> 6.1

Migrateduser

Like Jed mentioned, if you're simply doing a copy of iw-store all the workflows will transfer. However, if you are using iwmigrate to migrate a store to a different location they won't automatically. If you are keeping the exact branching structure and user IDs you can rename the new iw-store/workflow directory to .new and copy over the original one. That will restore the jobs.
