How to do not allow certain users to create documents of certain types?

I want to tune a Documentum Content Server to do not allow certain users to create documents of certain types. I mean: when such user logs into WebTop and tries to create new document, he will not see type ‘dm_documentum’ in list of available types – only my types inherited from dm_documentum. The same I need in Documentum Desktop too.

Is this possible?

You can acheive it by using "Webtop-Presets"

Yes, There is no desktop client for Documentum after 6.0 release, web based clients are available like webtop,Taskspace,DA,DAM, etc

Viswa statement is incorrect. My Documentum for Desktop that integrates with Windows Explorer. It came out with 6.5 and is currently supported in 6.6.

Just like webtop presets, you can configure MDD to limit importing of certain object types. This is done via config file on the MDD server.

I know there is no recent product release for Documentum Desktop Client. From your statement, I can know about "My Documentum for Desktop"
