remote users hav hanging windows

I have users in a remote location trying to access TS....every once and awhile they get windows that hang and do not respond. When they close their browser and open it back up it starts to work fine again.

What is your suggestion on how to try and attack this issue?

PS It happens for all 3 users on different PC's

Hi,

You might want to try setting mod_expires in iw-webd to enhance performance for your remote users. We have done a lot of internal testing that shows it should help remote users dramatically especially those connected through high-latency networks:

One important thing to note about making this change using the KB is that you turn collapsed on and make sure to copy httpd.conf.template.example to httpd.conf.template and run iwreset -ui.

This fix was also recently released in a patch for TeamSite 6.5 SP2 (patch 1612 for those on SP2).

For me, it's always been when I've already been in TeamSite and generally happens when trying to work with DCRs. It has happened on edit, preview and even within a DCR when I try to Visual Format. The types of dcrs have varied.

Do you think that setting mod_expires will help this situation still?
