“Ability to add attachments to a running workflow” for Workflows in Process Builder

In Documentum_Content_Server_66_Fundamentals.pdf I see the following:

Process Builder and Workflow Manager

…

The additional features supported in Process Builder are:

Ability to add attachments to a running workflow

Cannot understand the “Ability to add attachments to a running workflow”. I am able to attach a document to a running workflow even without Process Builder installed – I have Documentum developer Edition 6.6 only. So why it is named ‘additional feature supported in Process Builder’?

Does this refer to adding entries to the dmi_wf_attachment table? At our company, we have a workfklow that can have documents attached this way at any point throughout the workflow.

hi,

It mean , When the workflow is started, the notification or task we can found in inbox of the particular activity performer.

So, the performer can add the attachments as documents. But the attachments(attached documents) just moved through the

workflow as component but not as package.

Just you can try this.

You can add attachment to a running workflow through Process Data Mapping Activity. Just set r_object_id parameter of attachment.

Also you can do it through DQL Read Activity (using result of query) or through any other
