6.5 issue with inherit_EA_on_Import=true?

In 6.1, we have the following set:
inherit_EA_on_Import=true

With this setting to 'true', a file import that overwrites an existing file retains the metadata. By default, or a setting of "false", existing metadata is not retained. In 6.5, this setting does not seem to work. Metadata is always dropped. Anyone else experience this? (support case to be opened as soon as I get a few spare moments.)

It's strange that it worked in 6.1

This has been moved to the UI toolkit.

It doesn't seemed to work. Importing a file still removes the previous metadata content.

Our application_custom.xml looks like this:

<applications>
<default-param id="iw.common.import.inherit_extended_atrributes" value="true"/>
</applications>

which is the same as the posting earlier.
