Documentum Developer Edition 6.6: are there restrictions except ones in its docs?

In the moment I am developing a prototype of my future Documentum-based system using Documentum Developer Edition. Later I will buy Documentum Content Server; but now I do not have it.

As I understand, Documentum Developer Edition is limited version of Documentum Content Server. The limitations are described in its docs; partially Developer_Edition_installation_6.6.pdf. This is OK. The question is: maybe Documentum Developer Edition 6.6 has some more restrictions/limitations in addition to ones I see in the docs? Maybe some API calls here work different than in Documentum Content Server; and I do not know this until I try Documentum Content Server? As you understand, this may be unpleasant surprise for me as a developer.

There is no any restrictions in functionality of Dev Edition.

Just remember when a new versin is released the support of the old one is stopped.

And what about .NET version - were there some tests that the .NET Productivity Layer works without regression on .NET 3.5 or 4 (Documentum Developer Edition 6.6 docs say about .NET 3 only)? Yes I know: it should work without regression; but we live in real word, you understand :-) The application I am developing use .NET 3.5 (and probably .NET 4 in future); so I would like to know the regression issues, if any

Thats a good question. However, since Microsoft is always releasing new .NET productivity suites, there will always be a lag on what version is supported by EMC. Since I do not program in .NET, I cant tell if there has been any issues with newer version of .NET. The safest way is to use the supported version. If you are using newer version of .NET, you are using it at your own risk, since EMC has NOT tested it with Documentum software.
