Our customer is asking us not to show the native DOC formats in renditionlist component, only PDF format... any ideas will be highly appreciated!

According to the guidelines of this community, https://community.emc.com/thread/116272, you shouldn't post technical questions here. Move this thread to the support community, there are much more chances the tech guru's out there will see it and answer it.
PS: As an EMC employee (looking at your logo, don't you have access to internal resources for this kind of stuff ?
You should be able to customize the jsp for that component to filter out the list.
As Johnny said, you could customize the component.
That said, you could also define the default viewing format to the rendition format (usually PDF) in ther users' preferences. Then the users will still see the icon corresponding to the native format but will only be able to view the renditions (in view mode, those who are allowed to edit must anyways edit the native format). Might be enough...
