Migrating Fast to Xplore

We are planning to migrate Fast Index server 6.5 SP1 (along with CS other components) to xplore. We will be taking advantage of dual mode migration approach where Fast and xplore runs simultaneouly.

Deployment guide talks about

"incremental migration of users to xPlore".

"You periodically switch users from the FAST Webtop instance to xPlore Webtop instance to query

against xPlore instead of FAST".

how do we actually do this? do we have to tell users to which webtop instance to connect to?

FAST Webtop instance to xPlore ( 4000 users)

Xplore Webtop instance to xPlore (1000 user and slowly migtrate the rest)

Can somebody have a simple solution?

- Yes, or if you have a load balancer, you can configure it to goto either app servers based on rules you set up (eg IP range, random, round robin, etc).

No. Just based on my past experience at various customer sites. This is more infrastructure/networking vs webtop application.
