Fastest PDF viewer in TaskSpace applications

I am interested to know your experience about PDF viewers in TaskSpace applications.

For a specific application end user should just view PDF contents (no other content formats, no other annotations or more advanced feature requirement) on Internet Explorer . End user is just interested on performance during plugin startup: do you advice any specific plugin / activeX ?

Is the content server local to the user - not located in a different country? Also, is the PDF file relatively not large (<1 MB) - wondering if PDF streaming would help?

Hi Johnny.

The Content Server is not local to the users but they are connected by a fast intranet. PDF files are small (about 300 kbytes). I would like to use plugin with a very little footprint (code and startup).

Hello Yuri,

Although we do only have experience in a pilot environment with this, the Adobe Acrobat Reader browser viewer is very fast, especially in cases of fast network connections and small files. We haven't benchmarked this against eg brava viewer. Autovue 19.2 is surely slower due to its rather large java applet.
