Configuring Process Builder with BAM Server

Hi all,

I recently installed BAM Server and Process Builder on my content server box. I opened Process Builder and was able to update the BAM object type definitions successfully, but when I checked the Process Properties panel, I noticed that the Audit Trail radio buttons were disabled and defaulted to off.

How do I enable those radio buttons so I can turn on audit trail for my process template?

Hi Derrick!

Users that turn the Audit Trail on and off must be granted the Config Audit extended privilege. More details you can read in BAM Implementation Guide > Configuring Business Activity Monitor.

Thanks. I was browsing the Process Builder user guide and found the answer:

Have to log in as a superuser and give the user who is modifying the process the Config, Audit privileges. Then log in as that user and turn audit trail on in the process properties panel.

Hi Derrick,

If you are using newer version of Process Builder (D6.6 and higher) you'll find that radio button was replaced by a slider that has three possible options:

1. audit off

2. bam audit

3. audit on

If you need only bam, you can select the second option. It will reduce drastically the amount of events that are generated in the system.

What build of PB do you have? I have 6.6.0.045 and there is no slide bar, only radio button. I have not installed any patch may be this future is appered in one of them?

Hi Konstantin,

To be exact: the functionality of "bam events only" exists in process engine D6.6 without ui (it was implemented within a patch)

UI was added only to D6.7
