Error on Solaris 9 Install

I get this error while trying to run install.sh:

/export/home/worksitemp/install.dir.3528/Solaris/resource/jre/bin/java: syntax error at line 1: `(' unexpected

has anyone encountered this and is there a solution to it??

Just a guess, I have seen this before, what shell are you using ? Also what shell is root running ?

IW tends to write their scripts assuming /bin/ksh, /bin/sh usually works. Old Sun people often use /bin/csh, bash, & tsch
which will fail in that manner.

Actually, it seems to be an error with the JRE's being specific to SPARC architecture. I was trying this on x86.
