move task to another user account

Hi All

I am using webtop 6.5 sp4.

my application uses inbox extensively , currently we are using inline password for the user accounts, client want us to implement LDAP , we are able to import user in to Documentum system and users are able to login into the system.

The issue is how to move the pending task from inline user account to newly created LDAP user account. is their any API or DQL which can change the performer with affecting the task state.

P.S. there are only 4 user with inline password but they have big task pending in their inbox.

This is probably b/c the workitem that has the highest sequence number is the one that is active (vs finished).

What you should do is look for workitems that are dormant/acquired (not finished):

r_runtime_state = 0 or 1

r_runtime_state = 2 (finished).

Workflow supervisor for each workflow should be able to reassign the task to someone else.

The supervisor is installation owner all the time as this task are created by documentum jobs. if I do it manually it will take lots of time and human error may cause some problem, is there any other way to do it.

You can do this using delegate API if you have workitem ID for each. You should be able to query for the workitem IDs. Keep in mind, you will need to log in as superuser (or install owner) to execute the delegate API.

I managed to get the workitem id

select d.r_object_id from dmi_workitem d ,dm_workflow d where r_workflow_id in (select r_object_id from dm_workflow where r_runtime_state = 1) and d.r_object_id=d.r_workflow_id

but when i m trying to delagte using

delegate,c,4a05a4be80087227,<target user?

it is throwing error

- The workitem you are referencing has already been completed. Are you sure you are referencing the right workitem ID?

what I noticed is there are many workitem for one workflow and the delegation can be done only for the workitem having highest sequence number.

Hi Saurabh, maybee it`s will bee better to use "Reassign user" operation from administrative tools. that will move all tasks from old user to new.
