Jobs are not running

Hi Experts,

Today when I come to office I found out that tehere are 60 mails in my email box, indicating that jobs are not running.

I get this error message while running data dictionary publisher.

[ERROR] [LAUNCHER 4508] Detected while completing processing for job dm_DataDictionaryPublisher: FAILED: Could not launch method dm_DataDictionaryPublisher: OS error: (No Error Message Available), DM error: ().

JavaMethodServer -is running.

dm_agent_exec -is also running, I have even started it manually for teting if it is running and it started properly.

what else can cause to the problem?

Note that I had three repositories.

one called: CBAR

one called: CentralBank

one called: Development

CBAR was global registry but a few weeks ago I have de activated it and modified CentralBank repository as global repository.I had shut down it from then and everything had been working.But yesterday I have completly deleted CBAR and restarted the server.Can it cause to the problem?

But I have CentralBank as global registry and for the past several weeks everything had been working and CBAR was shut down.

Plese help it is urgent.

Found out the problem.

Only jobs with dmbasic methods fails.

Reason: It is very funny.This metods does not work because the method verb starts like .\dmbasic.

Solution:If you replace .\dmbasic with just dmbasic in method verb attribute everything works as expected.

What OS are you using on Content Server?

Windows 2008 sp2.

I can't understand, the repository had been created several month ago and everything had been working.Just two days ago I have restarted it.And yesterday when I come to work find out that all dmbasic jobs are not working.Also no workflows working properly.Document type attributes (properties) come blank.

I can only hypothesize that there is incompatibility with 2008 and dmbasic. dmbasic is VERY old code.

Now method server has stopped.

I wonder will I have a day without documentum error..Every day a different error.

In your environment, do you have windows update turned on automatically on your server?

No, the server even does not have internet access.Do you tihink update can cause to the problem?

And one more question, in which os environment documentum runs better? You know we are new to Documentum and we have only worked in windows.If it works better in other environemnts I will suggest to move to that environment.Can you please give me some advice according to your experience.

You never know whats in a Windows update and if its compatible with your applications (besides Documentum).

Windows is the OS that has largest install base. Are you running 32 or 64 bit?

Yes you are absolutely correct.

We are running 64 bit Windows.

Might want to try 32 bit. I have seen where some of the 64 bit libaries are not compatible. There are hotfixes, but back to your basic question, I think most people are still using Windows 32 bit.
