Create Link without write permission?

Hi,

Are there a way to cerate a link of a document which you don't have write permission?

Or user sould be able to update properties of a file but not its content?

methinks that...

primary link needs write but secondary links need only read on document

however if folder security is on then user needs write on destination folder

if no permit then need a method which runs as super user and logic for when it is allowed

Brian is correct about primary and secondary link requirements.

- This is one of the design issues I have always had with Documentum. WRITE permissions to update attributes gives you permissions to update content. In those cases where you dont want this to happen, you will need to change the precondition for EDIT and CHECKOUT actions.
