Process Variables in Task Listings Form

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create a task listing form that will display the tasks for 2 specific workflow processes. I have created both processes so that they contain the same process variables that I'm hoping to report on.

For example.

Process 1:

Process Var: ClaimNumber - String

Process 2:

Process Var: ClaimNumber - String

What I'm trying to do now is in Forms Builder create a template to display the tasks for these 2 processes and include the "ClaimNumber" process variable in the column listings. If I only select one of the two processes, Forms Builder allows me to select the ClaimNumber variable in the "Available column" list, however if I select both processes the ClaimNumber variable is no longer listed as one of the "Available columns".

How can I create a template that allows me to display the process variable from multiple processes (assuming the the variables existin in both processes)?

Roger, Your two process variables are not the same in a Documentum view. One is myProcess1.ClaimNumber and the second is myProcess2.ClaimNumber. I think you can only use standard variable in your case. Julien.

Thanks for you reply. Do you or can you think of any way that I can accomplish this, either through the uses of another template or through a custom DQL query?

I realize this is a bit old, but I thought I'd answer in case it helps anyone else. The trick is to make a structured data type that contains the variable you need, then, in each process, create a process variable and select the SDT you created by click on <More types...>. When you create the task list, the process variables will be available. For example, create an SDT called mysdt with an attribute ClaimNumber. In both processes, create a process variable with the same name of the type mysdt.
