JRE issue

Hi Experts,

Can you please give me some suggestions for installing jre to client machines? The problem is that I have about 600 webtop users and I can't install jre manually to every machine. And also every user is using a different type and version of browsers. In your opinion what is the best way to install jre so that everything were supported.

Imran,

JRE installation on client machine should be done keeping in mind the client application you have to access (webtop, taskspace etc). Please check the release note of the application and install the JRE mentioned in the release notes.

Regarding installing JRE on multiple user machine:
There are some ways by which you can push the softwares to user machine from Active Directory(server), I am not networking guy but one of our client used that way to install softwares on client machines. Below links may be helpful to you.

or maybe you should talk to your target IT department sytem adminis.... they might already have figure out how to handle 500 clients

some days I am o so clever, I just can not help myself. Well to be fair, I had heard of SMS packages before and I know IT departments could roll out software to client PCs.... That is enought for me... Its would be IT department job now to ensure all client PCs have at least the minimun support JRE installed... Disabling auto updates would be a good think also.... Have seen that trying to update Content Servers... nasty!!
